Corporate Tax

A gaming company operating through a limited liability company in Malta pays corporation tax at the rate of 35% on profits as adjusted for tax purposes. However, net dividends distributed to shareholders of any trading company registered in Malta may carry an entitlement for Malta tax refunds. The tax refunds are generally equivalent to 6/7ths of the corporation tax paid at the company level, resulting in a combined overall effective Malta tax rate of 5%.
